Research

MECAPROTEC Industries-MPI conducts research in partnership with public laboratories (the Carnot CIRIMAT Institute of the Paul Sabatier University in Toulouse, ELECTRODEP at the University of Barcelona). This research is essential to ensure we remain at the forefront of future "non-polluting" processes.

With this in mind, MECAPROTEC Industries-MPI also takes part in regional, national and European research & development projects, in which MECAPROTEC Industries-MPI acts as the interface between the research laboratories and principal customers for the industrial transfer of the processes developed.

For several years, the subject of these projects has focused on replacing hexavalent chromium in current processes. Hexavalent chromium is found at every stage of the treatment cycle, from surface preparation and anti-corrosion treatment through to post-treatment.
