Description

Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) instructions

  • Comply with the Health, Safety & Environmental Instruction Sheet (FCSE) for the workstation
  • Follow 5S methodology

Check the documentation

  • Ensure previous process stages have been completed
  • Take into account any previous Non-Conformity Reports (FNC)
  • Report anomalies

Ensure parts match the job specifications

  • Ensure the physical quantity matches the quantity listed on the GROF
  • Confirm the parts correspond (shape, size, serial number)
  • Cross-check the reference launched in the GROF with the client’s drawing

Record all operations performed

  • Complete documentation: name/date/quantity/notes manually and via barcode scanning
  • Perform start-of-shift checks (first-level maintenance, measuring equipment calibration, etc.)
    appareils de mesure, etc.)
  • Report any issue on the file or part via an action sheet for blocked orders

Confirm the integrity of the parts

  • Detect visual defects and report them to the Quality Inspector
  • Assess the condition of parts and determine, based on visual inspection, if previous steps were completed and likely conform

Paint or Varnish Application

  • Able to paint complex-shaped parts using basic coatings (e.g. brackets, honeycomb parts, lightweight components)
  • Clean and/or blow off parts before painting
  • Apply primer and basic topcoat to simple-shaped parts (ex. P60/F70)
  • Check own work after application (appearance and thickness); know how to calibrate the measuring equipment
  • Follow paint sheet parameters (desolvation time, curing time, etc.)
  • Ensure parts are correctly mounted before painting
  • Block non-conforming parts and carry out touch-ups under the supervision of a qualified painter

Equipment and Booth Maintenance

  • Complete the first-level maintenance log (ENR) at the start of the shift: record booth temperature and humidity, test compressed air cleanliness according to procedure, check the operation of the emergency shower and eye-wash station, and inspect the condition of filters
  • Adjust temperature and humidity settings if deviations are observed; stamp all associated paint sheets with “Enhanced Inspection” if conditions deviate from the required standards, check drum levels at the beginning of the shift, use the electrical cabinet controls to keep temperature (T°) and humidity (H°) values within standard ranges
  • Maintain and clean the spray gun

Handling the Trolley and Verifying Administrative Information Before Application

  • Check that the paint sheets correspond to the identification marked by the assembler on the racks; confirm that the GrOF numbers and layers match the relevant paint sheets
  • Ensure traceability for each paint layer: write your name and date on the paint sheet at the phase corresponding to the layer to be applied; scan all paint sheets using the barcode for the relevant layer
  • Collect all paint sheets once the trolley is completed
  • Record desolvation and curing times: indicate on the trolley the time it enters the desolvation area and the minimum entry time for the oven
  • Confirm traceability of prior steps: verify that previous stages have been validated and ensure the correct colour is selected for application
  • Follow set priorities (via the Communication Board) and observe the paint FIFO (First In, First Out) principle

Responsibility / Initiative

  • Follows clear and detailed operational instructions provided by the manager: identifies the data to be considered, understands the tasks to be performed, recognises and repeats known tasks
  • Is responsible solely for the correct execution of assigned tasks:
    • Carries out clearly defined conformity checks, with immediate and visible results. Errors are easily detectable.
    • Reports any malfunctions or anomalies to the manager

Autonomy

Organises their work independently within the framework of regular reporting requirements

Required knowledge
