Opérateur Montage (F/H)

Carry out assembly operations while ensuring the integrity of the parts, in order to guarantee proper treatment and optimise production.

Relational

Internal:

o Hierarchical:
Reports to the Activity Manager or the Supervisor.
o Functional:
Functionally reports to the Team Leader of their team.
Works in collaboration with the entire Painting and/or Surface Treatment workshop and, in some cases, with other workshops.

Nature of interactions: Receives instructions and cooperates with nearby operators to ensure the smooth execution of activities.

Description

Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) instructions

  • Comply with the Health, Safety & Environmental Instruction Sheet (FCSE) for the workstation
  • Follow 5S methodology

Check the documentation

  • Ensure previous process stages have been completed
  • Take previous Non-Conformity Reports (NCR) into account when performing tasks
  • Report anomalies

Ensure parts match the job specifications

  • Ensure the physical quantity matches the quantity listed on the GROF
  • Confirm the parts correspond (shape, size, serial number)
  • Cross-check the reference launched in the GROF with the client’s drawing

Record all operations performed

  • Complete documentation: name/date/quantity/notes manually and via barcode scanning
  • Perform start-of-shift checks (first-level maintenance, measuring equipment calibration, etc.)
  • Report any issue on the file or part via an action sheet for blocked orders

Confirm the integrity of the parts

  • Detect visual defects and report them to the Quality Inspector
  • Assess the condition of parts and determine, based on visual inspection, if previous steps were completed and likely conform

Visually inspect incoming items and label packages

  • Unpack the delivery, review the manufacturing file, and inspect the condition of the parts; check packaging upon arrival in the workshop (appearance and specific features of the box), count and inspect the parts.
  • Identify and store boxes in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Receive the “GROF” production orders and place them in the appropriate storage units; sort them if necessary.
  • In case of any non-conformity upon receipt, follow the procedure for handling non-compliant parts (identification and storage).
  • Identify urgent orders (AOG, tight deadlines, returns, delays) and prioritise them accordingly.

Perform assembly

  • Carry out both simple and complex assemblies using work instructions (IF).
  • Assemble parts while ensuring their integrity.<
  • Position parts according to the constraints of the treatment process (e.g., air pockets, liquid retention, electrical contact for surface treatment, and contact surfaces or spacing for painting).
  • Ensure that parts are securely fixed.
  • Identify assembled parts according to defined procedures.
  • Ensure traceability: manage orders involving multiple batches, long production runs, individual serial numbers, etc.

Responsibility / Initiative

  • Follows clear and detailed operational instructions provided by the manager: identifies the data to be considered, understands the tasks to be performed, recognises and repeats known tasks
  • Is responsible solely for the correct execution of assigned tasks:
  • Carries out clearly defined conformity checks, with immediate and visible results. Errors are easily detectable.
  • Reports any malfunctions or anomalies to the manager
