  • Cross-check the reference launched in the GROF with the client’s drawing

Record all operations performed

  • Complete documentation: name/date/quantity/notes manually and via barcode scanning
  • Perform start-of-shift checks (first-level maintenance, measuring equipment calibration, etc.)
  • Report any issue on the file or part via an action sheet for blocked orders

Confirm the integrity of the parts

  • Detect visual defects and report them to the Quality Inspector
  • Assess the condition of parts and determine, based on visual inspection, if previous steps were completed and likely conform

Part Handling – Before and After NDT

  • Read work files (GROF, job tracking sheet)
  • Check part/GROF consistency and perform visual inspections
  • Prepare and recondition parts before and after NDT (intermediate packaging, product preservation)
  • Route parts to the appropriate workshops or workstations

Routine Checks, First-Level Maintenance, and 5S Compliance

  • Know the required limits for each instrument
  • Locate calibration numbers and dates for each instrument
  • Record readings from metrology tools (manometers, thermometers, etc.)
  • Assess conformity or non-conformity of a measurement

Reporting and Documentation for inspected parts

  • Check serial numbers against the customer order and record them in MECAPROTEC documentation
  • Identify and isolate disputed parts
  • Use the final inspection screen to adjust quantities or add comments
  • Draft simple Inspection Reports (IR) and Requests for Response (RFR)
  • Be familiar with client communication tools (emails, portals, software)

Hardness and Conductivity Testing – Optional

  • Operate according to pre-defined criteria (min/max values) or determine criteria using client documentation and relevant standards
  • Set up and calibrate testing equipment
  • Perform hardness and conductivity tests
  • Record the results

Responsibility / Initiative
