Conducteur robot (F/H)
Operates, maintains, and supplies an automated production unit for paint application, in compliance with safety standards and production requirements.
Relational
Internal:
o Hierarchical:
Reports to the Supervisor or the Production Unit Manager.
o Functional:
Functional authority: Holds functional authority (instructions and various requests) over workshop personnel concerning workstations, resources, and workflow.
Cross-functional collaboration: Works closely with all support departments (maintenance, quality, logistics, development, etc.), exchanging technical information.
Description
Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) instructions
- Comply with the Health, Safety & Environmental Instruction Sheet (FCSE) for the workstation
- Follow 5S methodology
Check the documentation
- Ensure previous process stages have been completed
- Take into account any previous Non-Conformity Reports (FNC)
- Report anomalies
Ensure parts match the job specifications
- Ensure the physical quantity matches the quantity listed on the GROF
- Confirm the parts correspond (shape, size, serial number)
- Cross-check the reference launched in the GROF with the client’s drawing
Record all operations performed
- Complete documentation: name/date/quantity/notes manually and via barcode scanning
- Perform start-of-shift checks (first-level maintenance, measuring equipment calibration, etc.)
- Report any issue on the file or part via an action sheet for blocked orders
Confirm the integrity of the parts
- Detect visual defects and report them to the Quality Inspector
- Assess the condition of parts and determine, based on visual inspection, if previous steps were completed and likely conform
Coordinate and regulate production activity
- Enter information related to Work Orders (WO) via barcode scanning and/or HMI interface to ensure full traceability (paint batch and operator traceability)
- Adjust settings and supply paint after inspection
- Monitor operations via screen and machine output to ensure the quality of automated processing, especially for first parts in each series after paint loading
- Perform efficient rinsing between two paint colours and during system shutdown
- Ensure parts are processed according to the production rate set by the automated line
Carry out preventive maintenance operations: Daily first-level maintenance and Second-level maintenance as per defined schedule
- Ensure robot functionality by performing first-level maintenance as per instructions
- Carry out second-level maintenance at defined intervals
- Complete the required control records (ENR)
Inspect, diagnose, and report breakdowns
- Monitor equipment functionality and detect any potential faults
- For issues outside own authorisation or expertise, conduct a preliminary diagnosis and escalate to the Maintenance Department, notifying management via the technical GLPI system
Adhere to production flow, hygiene, and safety requirements
- Understand and comply with production targets set by management
- Plan workload and manage resources (human and material) in line with production goals
- Relay all necessary instructions to ensure smooth operations
- Be familiar with and enforce workshop safety rules
- Report any non-compliance with production, logistics, hygiene, or safety rules to management
- Maintain and ensure a clean, orderly work environment (ongoing 5S)
Quality Compliance
- Carry out self-inspection on parts during processing
- Ensure traceability of completed and upcoming operations based on part flow
- Take appropriate action based on feedback from painters, disassemblers, and inspectors (first-level maintenance checks, output appearance control, monitoring environmental conditions including spray booths)
Responsibility / Initiative
- Contribute to the cell’s performance based on assigned activity and performance indicators
- Immediately report issues and take corrective action to avoid production downtime
- Perform daily preventive maintenance and 5S tasks
- Follow clear and detailed operating instructions from the Supervisor: identify required information, understand the task, recognise and repeat known operations
Autonomy
- Quickly adjust operator assignments and workload according to production demands and unforeseen issues
- Apply clear and detailed instructions given by the Team Leader
Required knowledge
- Knowledge of all relevant industrial paint standards
- Ability to operate equipment (robots, tanks, mixers, etc.)
- Proficiency in cleaning and maintaining equipment
