MECAPROTEC Industries is specialised in surface treatments and related activities, such as non-destructive testing, paints and chemical milling.

MECAPROTEC Industries has 30 years of experience in surface treatment and related activities dedicated to the aeronautical sector. The company has grown strongly, with a 40% increase in turnover in 5 years. As a leader in its field, our company is constantly developing, taking on board new ideas and moving forward, in terms of both expertise and services provided, despite the highly competitive nature of the market.

By developing close working relationships with principal customers, MECAPROTEC Industries is able to meet their requirements and even anticipate them; an example of this is the development of a "cleaner" specific zinc-nickel surface treatment to replace the use of cadmium (which contains cyanide). In this way, the company meets its customers' requirements in terms of surface treatment quality while taking into account their environmental expectations.

1985: opening of the first Mécaprotec Industries site

1991: inauguration of the second production site

1993: QUALIFAS certification obtained (quality and reliability of company operations)

1994: creation of a Research & Development Department

1996: opening of a reserve workshop at the Muret detention centre, which today has a surface area of 650m2 and employs 45 prisoners.

1997: ISO 9002 certification and accreditation as a certified training organisation.

2001: launch of a computerised process to automate order tracking for customers.

2002: inauguration of a new chemical milling workshop

2003: commitment to a company environmental plan

2006: certification of the Zinc-Nickel process by Airbus and Boeing

2008: construction of a new line for hard metal treatment

2010: launch of a project to create a subsidiary [P1]in Tunisia

2010: construction of a large-scale "green" surface treatment line: 6 metres

2011: winner of the French "Grand Prix de l’Economie"

2013: turnover of €30.2 million, of which 6% is from export markets

2013: 13th participation in the Paris International Air Show

2013: inauguration of the 1500 m2 extension of the annex production site and the research laboratory

2014: forecast turnover of €32.5 million
